Place images into cells and write image URLs into a separate column.
A short walkthrough for your first session with ProductImageSync. Most users finish their first workflow in under ten minutes.
Before running the add-on, make a copy of the sheet tab you want to process (right-click the tab → Duplicate). Running on a copy keeps your original data untouched.
In Google Sheets, click Extensions → ProductImageSync → Open ProductImageSync. The add-on sidebar opens on the right side of your sheet.
The first time you run it, Google asks you to confirm access to the current spreadsheet. Review the requested permissions and approve to continue.
In the sidebar, choose the column that holds your product images, the column with your SKUs (or article numbers), and the mode you want to run (see Modes below).
Keep the spreadsheet tab and the ProductImageSync sidebar open until processing is complete. Closing the tab or the sidebar mid-run stops the job.
Check your spreadsheet — images are placed in cells and/or image URLs are written to the chosen column, with exported files saved to the “ProductImageSync Images” folder in your Google Drive. If a floating image could not be matched confidently, see the ProductImageSync Comment column below.

Place floating images into cells without creating a URL column.
Export images to Google Drive and write image URLs into a spreadsheet column while leaving the floating images in place.
ProductImageSync automatically creates a ProductImageSync Comment column when an image needs manual attention.
If the app cannot confidently match a floating image to a product row, it adds a short note. The note may ask you to move the image closer to its intended row or place it manually.
The column is for review only and can be deleted after processing.
Use the generated public image URLs in your CRM, ERP, CMS, PIM, or e-commerce platform's import template.
Send the file to a buyer, supplier, or colleague. Anchored images stay in place when they filter or sort.
Re-open the add-on on the next product sheet. Your previous column selections are remembered to speed things up.
